Most of them stay with us for years on end, sometimes starting their careers with us and staying on until retirement. These people are much more than staff; they are family.
Meet some of them below:
Ms. Giota Liappi
“For me, the Electra Palace Thessaloniki is like my home: I love it as my own, I truly care about it. It is like it’s my hotel!” Ms. Liappi started out in 1990 as an assistant reception clerk, at Electra Palace Thessaloniki. After 9 years she got promoted to reception clerk, then, in 2005, she became a reservations supervisor, overseeing the guests’ reservations department at our Thessaloniki property.
Mr. Dimitris Athanasiou
“Electra Hotels and Resorts is about tradition; the tradition of hospitality, in a warm, familial atmosphere”. Mr. Athanasiou worked at the Electra Athens from 1998 to 2001, as a receptionist and reservations clerk. After a successful career in other hotels in Greece, he returned to the Electra Hotels and Resorts in 2009, as the hotel manager of the Electra Palace Athens, a position he holds to this day.
Mr. Leonidas Lamaris
Mr. Leonidas Lamaris: “Electra Palace Rhodes is my second home – its people are family to me. Mr Lamaris joined the Electra Hotels and Resorts family in 1987, working as a receptionist and main courante clerk at the Electra Palace Rhodes. In 1992 he was promoted to front office manager, and two years later to rooms division manager and acting deputy manager. In 2008 he became the hotel’s manager, a position he holds to this day.
