Terms & Conditions


These Terms & Conditions supersede all previous terms and conditions of the Electra Rewards. 

1.1 Definitions 

• “Electra Hotel” is any hotel managed by Electra Hotels & Resorts. 
• “Electra Rewards” is the loyalty program of Electra Hotels & Resorts. 
• “Member” is a person who has completed an official registration and accepted Electra Rewards Terms & Conditions. 
• “Electra Rewards Card” or “Card” is the membership card issued by Electra Hotels & Resorts to a person who is a Member of the Electra Rewards 
• “Electra Rewards Points” or “Points” are the reward currency earned by using the Electra Rewards Card. 
• “Benefits” are the amenities and services provided to Members as a benefit of membership. 
• “Electra Partner” is a third party which offers Benefits or awards to Electra Rewards Members. 
• “Redemption” is a form of payment using Electra Rewards Points as a tender to acquire goods and services defined by the Electra Rewards. 

1.2 The Electra Rewards Card, physical or on electronic form is issued by and remains the property of Electra Hotels & Resorts. It is not a credit card and is free of charge. 

1.3 Cancellation of Membership: Electra Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to decline to issue or withdraw Electra Rewards membership at any time, or to terminate the validity of the Electra Rewards membership together with the benefits attached there to at any time. The Electra Rewards Card must be returned without delay to Electra Hotels & Resorts when requested. Cancellation of membership will result in the loss of all accumulated Points. 

1.4 Termination Date: The Electra Rewards has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as Electra Hotels & Resorts decides to terminate it, with or without notice. The Electra Rewards accepts no responsibility for any points that remain in members’ accounts after such termination.

 1.5 Program Changes: Electra Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to amend, update or change any aspect pertaining to the Electra Rewards including the Terms & Conditions, at any time in whole or in part without advising Members. Continued participation in Electra Rewards will constitute a member’s acceptance of any such amendment, modification, or supplementation. Members are responsible for remaining knowledgeable of Electra Rewards Terms and any changes, modifications, or additions to the Electra Rewards. 

1.6 Partners responsibility: Electra Hotels & Resorts is not responsible for Electra Partner withdrawals from the Electra Rewards, which may affect the Benefits offered. 

1.7 Program Notifications: The Electra Rewards will endeavor to advise Members of matters of interest, including notification of changes to details of promotions and other offers. However, the Electra Rewards accepts no liability for correspondence lost or delayed in the postal system or via electronic mail. 

1.8 Program Corrections: Electra Rewards reserves the right to change the printed or electronic form offers at 

any time and to correct any typographical errors, errors of description, or errors regarding participating properties and Electra Rewards Partners at any time, without informing members. 

1.9 Printed information & Website: All details mentioned on the website supersede anything appearing in any printed or other material of Electra Rewards and form part of these Conditions of Membership. 

1.10 Member’s Security: When a Member contacts the Electra Rewards representatives, for security reasons Electra Hotels & Resorts may request date of birth and/or other information to verify the Member’s identity. 

1.11 The Electra Rewards designated officers will only enter communication with the registered Member. 

1.12 Sale or Barter of Points: The sale or barter of any Electra Rewards Points, Awards & Redemptions or other card benefits is prohibited. 

1.13 Lost / Stolen Cards: In case Electra Rewards Card is lost, stolen or damaged the Member must inform the Electra Rewards Membership Services office immediately in writing to the email indicated below. 

1.14 Contact Details: Any correspondence sent to Members is based on the contact details provided to Electra Hotels & Resorts. Each Member is responsible for updating his/her information on the official website, in writing to the Electra Rewards Membership Services office or at any Participating Hotel. 

1.15 Interpretation of Terms: All interpretations of these Terms & Conditions of Membership shall be at the sole discretion of Electra Hotels & Resorts. 

1.16 Legal Jurisdiction: These Conditions of Membership are governed by the laws of and are applicable in the Republic of Greece. In the event of any dispute, the Member agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens. 

1.17 Availability at Hotels: Members are responsible to check with the relevant Electra Hotel for the availability of any special offer that could affect the enjoyment of their visit. The Member should ask on arrival at the hotel for any additional benefits valid for that property. All services, amenities and benefits are subject to availability and subject to the terms and conditions of each Participating Hotel. Not all services, amenities and benefits are offered at all Participating Hotels. Electra Hotels & Resorts may update benefits shown as available or credited to a Member at any time. 

1.18 Limited by Length of Stay: Selected Benefits may be limited depending on length of stay. 

1.19 Availability: All Benefits, Awards and Redemptions are subject to availability. 

1.20 Electra Rewards communication: Electra Rewards will communicate with members via e-mail, post or any other channel which is considered appropriate. The Company reserves the right to inform its members about activities of Electra Hotels & Resorts, as well as third party activities associated with the above. 

1.21 Privacy Policy & Data Processing: Members personal data are gathered, filed, and processed by the Electra Hotels & Resorts exclusively for the purposes of the Electra Rewards Program according to the applicable laws. The Member of Electra Rewards give his explicit consent to Electra Hotels & Resorts to transfer his personal data to Electra Partners, as they are listed on Electra Reward website https://www.electrahotels.gr/privacy-policy/under Partners Page, for the purposes of the loyalty program 

Electra Rewards and for operational, data processing, statistical and historical reasons. 

Members have the right at any time of access and learn about the content of their personal data or object to any further processing of their data according to applicable laws. The Member give his explicit consent to Electra Hotels & Resorts to use his e-mail address to send him updates, newsletters or offers relating to its Electra Rewards. The Member has the right to opt for a removal of his/her address from the Electra Rewards mailing list and have his/her details deleted from the database at any time, upon written notification to the e-mail loyalty@electrahotels.com 

2. Application for Membership 

2.1 Eligibility: Membership in the Electra Rewards is free of charge and is available to any individual over the age of 18 who: 

2.1.1 possesses the legal authority to agree to the Electra Rewards Terms. 

2.1.2 resides in a jurisdiction that legally permits participation in the Electra Rewards. 

2.1.3 provides valid and accurate personal information when enrolling in the Electra Rewards. 

2.1.4 is not a member of the travel trade and associated companies. 

2.1.5 has not previously been terminated from any loyalty program operated by Electra Hotels & Resorts. 

2.2 Mandatory Fields: Electra Hotels & Resorts may reject any application if mandatory information is not supplied accurately and in full. 

2.3 Termination of Account: The Member may terminate membership by sending an email, signed by the Member, in the attention of the Electra Rewards head offices. Membership will be terminated immediately upon receipt of such email. All unredeemed Electra Rewards Points will be forfeited immediately and will not be reinstated or transferred.

2.4 Inactive Membership Members become inactive if they have not visited: 

City Hotels of Electra Hotels & Resorts: 

• Classic 2 years

• Silver 3 years 

• Gold 5 years

Resort Hotels of Electra Hotels & Resorts: 

• Classic 3 years

• Silver 4 years 

• Gold 6 years

As soon as the Member revisits a Participating Hotel, membership will be re-activated. The Electra Rewards reserves the right to cancel memberships that remain inactive for a period of five (5) years. 

2.5 Fraudulent Activity. If a Member suspects or learns of any fraudulent activity related to their Member account, including, without limitation, unauthorized redemption or transfer of Electra Rewards Points, the Member must report the fraudulent activity within 60 days of it occurring to the Electra Rewards Head Office via email loyalty@electrahotels.com 

Credit or debit of any Points in question to the Member will be at Electra Hotels & Resorts’ sole discretion. The Electra Rewards reserves the right to cancel any Membership account that has been registered using fraudulent details. 

3. The Cards & Categories 

3.1 The Electra Rewards Card is not transferable. It can only be used by the cardholder. 

3.2 Each issued Electra Rewards Card has an exclusive membership number. 

3.3 The Electra Rewards membership is available only to individuals. Not to companies, partnerships, associations, groups, or other entities. Electra Hotels & Resorts may refuse membership without a given reason. 

3.4 Card Categories

Classic Card: The Classic Card is issued upon application, and it is valid until the Member reaches Silver status. 

Silver Card: The Silver card is issued when the Member has collected 50,000 points and until the Member reaches Gold Status. 

Gold Card: is issued when the Member has collected 120,000 points.

3.5 Validity: The Card Categories are valid for life unless differently specified. The Member Card is valid only at Electra Hotels & Resorts and Partner Properties as listed on the official Electra Rewards website: https://www.electrahotels.gr/electra-rewards/ 

4. Earning Loyalty Points
Electra Rewards official web site website  for correct points earning methods.   

4.1 Tier & Base Points:  Points are the reward currency of the Loyalty. 

There are two types of Loyalty Points:

• Tier Points: are credited for each eligible transaction and cannot be redeemed. Status Points reflect the Tier category of the Member.
• Base Points: are credited for each eligible transaction by the Member and can be redeemed, as per the redemption scheme. 

4.2 Presentation of Card: To receive points, Members must present a valid Electra Rewards Card (either physical or in electronic form through the mobile application) to the Hotel Reception at the time of check–in, to or to Partners before ordering a service. If the card is not shown, Electra Rewards Points will not be credited. Allow 48 hours after the transaction (departure from the hotel) for Electra Rewards Points to reach the Members’ Account. 

4.3 Login in the portal Electra Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to correct any Electra Rewards Point values or statements at any time or when the error is realized. 

4.4 Missing points: If the Member wishes to claim any adjustment to the number of Electra Rewards Points credited or for retroactive Electra Rewards Points, the Member must do so within twelve months from date of the hotel visit, by login in portal and   sending the details to Electra Rewards Membership Services, with a copy of the bill for which the Member did not receive the correct number of Electra Rewards Points. Failure to supply the adequate documentation may result in the denial of such Points’ credit. Electra Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to decline any Points requests. 

4.5 Member’s Account: Members may view their Electra Rewards Points by logging in with the account details in the Electra Rewards website https://www.electrahotels.gr/electra-rewards/.After every transaction, the Electra Rewards Member is responsible to check the accuracy of the numbers of points earned. 

4.6 One Card / Room: Points will be credited only to one card for each room bill. The points will be credited 

to the main name on the reservation. 

4.7 Non-Resident bookings: Members will not earn points when making a reservation for another person even if the reservation is in the Member’s name. 

4.8 Additional Rooms: Electra Rewards Points are only earned by the Member on additional rooms if: 

4.8.1 The Member is staying at the same hotel at the same time. 

4.8.2 The maximum number of rooms that can be credited to the member’s account per visit is two (2). All rooms are reserved and registered in the Member’s name. 

4.8.3 The Member pays for all the rooms. 

4.9 Eligible Accommodation charges, all room bookings are made directly with the hotel’s reservations department or through hotels website www.electrahotels.gr. The maximum number of rooms that can be credited to the member’s account per visit is two (2).

4.10 Non–eligible accommodation rates, (therefore without receiving any points), are defined as: 

4.10.1 Airline crew rates 

4.10.2 Travel industry employee rates 

4.10.3 Group bookings (including reservations for over 10 rooms, conference, corporate events) 

4.10.4. Barter, complimentary and redemption (free) stays. 

4.11 Eligible Charges 

Eligible charges will receive points. Members receive points on hotel services including: 

4.11.1 Food & drinks in the hotel’s restaurants and bars

 *Including charges during complimentary & redemption stays. 

4.11.2 Telephone charges  

4.12 Non-Eligible Charges Taxes and service charges 

4.12.1 Taxes and service charges

4.12.2 Conference, banqueting and event charges. 

4.12.3 Laundry and dry cleaning

4.12.4 Services 

4.12.5 Any bills paid on behalf of the Member to a third party and charged to their room bill. 

4.13 Transferring Points: Electra Rewards Points cannot be transferred to any other Member account. 

4.14 Pre-membership Points: Points cannot be credited for visits to a Participating Hotel before the guest completes the loyalty registration process. 

4.15 Bonus points: Each Silver or Gold member, according to the status they are in, are awarded bonus points on special promotions and events they participate or purchase. These promotions and events will be advertised through the website, social media or mobile application. However, the Electra Rewards accepts no liability for correspondence lost or delayed in the postal system or via electronic mail. 

4.15.1 Seasonal Promotions At its discretion, The Electra Rewards may award Bonus Points on an ad hoc basis including but not limited to seasonal double points, activity awards. Where limited dates apply to a promotion, only Member’s activity within the specified dates will be eligible for Bonus Points. 

Bonus Points will be credited as BASE points and silver and gold bonuses do not apply. 

4.15.2 Category Bonus Points Silver and Gold Members will receive bonus points for activity relating to their account. These bonus points will be credited as Base Points and will only be credited from the time that the Member reaches the silver or gold status and for their duration in that status according to the description in the website of the program Silver: +10%  of classic tier points /Gold: +20% of classic tier points 

4.16 Partners 

Member may earn Electra Rewards Points by purchasing merchandise or services from companies that are affiliated with Electra Rewards as listed on Electra Rewards website under “Partners”. Electra Rewards Points earned in connection with the purchase of merchandise or services are subject to Electra Rewards Terms along with any applicable terms and conditions of the Partner. 

4.17 Corporate Points 

4.17.1 If the Member’s accommodation is paid by his/her employer, principal or client, the Member is responsible for notifying his/her employer, principal or client of any Electra Rewards Points received and for complying with any applicable laws, gift policies and incentive policies. 

4.17.2 The Member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Electra Hotels & Resorts and associated companies from any liability, costs and damages relating to claims of any third party arising from a failure to disclose the receipt of Electra Rewards Points or any other incentives.

 5. Discounts Presentation of Card

To receive Electra Rewards Discounts from a Participating Hotel or Electra Rewards Partner (shops, car hire, etc.), a valid Electra Rewards Card in physical or electronic form, must be presented at the time of 

ordering/reservation and before payment is concluded. Failure to do so will result in no discount. Room rate discounts are valid only for reservations booked directly with the hotel’s reservations department or through the hotel’s booking engine. 

Room rate discounts are not valid for corporate room rates or room rates of any special agreements. 

6. In Hotel Benefits & Services 

The Electra Rewards Program and any member benefits are subject to change. Member’s benefits are subject to availability. Only the cardholder Member is entitled to the benefits associated with the loyalty card. 

6.1 For Priority check – in an advanced note must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to member’s arrival. 

6.2 Complimentary Drinks vouchers are obtained with member’s welcome package. The voucher should be submitted to the bar staff upon being seated. Drink details will be presented by the bar staff and may vary by hotel. 

7. Redemption of Electra Rewards Points 

See: Electra Rewards official web site portal for current redemptions options. Redemption is subject to availability which may limit offering all products and services offered by Electra Rewards or any of Electra Rewards Partners. Redemption may also be limited during certain times of the year. 

7.1 Inactive Members are not eligible to redeem points until their membership has been re-activated. 

7.2 Declined Redemption Electra Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to decline a Redemption if the correct procedure is not adhered to. 

7.3 Registered Member: Electra Rewards Points may only be redeemed by the registered Member for Redemption Vouchers as specified by Electra Hotels & Resorts. 

7.4 Available Points: To qualify for redemption, the Member must have sufficient Points in their account before the requested redemption date. Points collected during current stays cannot be redeemed. 

7.5 Not exchangeable: Electra Rewards Points are not exchangeable for cash and no change for outstanding amounts will be given. Electra Rewards Points can only be used in exchange for Redemption Points. 

7.6 Transaction Date: Electra Rewards Points are deducted from the Member’s account on the day that the Redemption activity is made.

7.7 Points Required: The number of points required for each redemption is in accordance with the current Electra Rewards Redemption List on web official site. 

7.8 Validity: Redemption points can be used: 

7.8.1 For Free Nights: on the dates confirmed by the reservations department.

7.9 Fraudulent Use: Redemption activities believed to have been bartered, sold, exchanged, or issued fraudulently, or issued to someone other than the eligible Electra Rewards Member, will be void and will not be honored. 

7.10 Redemption procedures 

7.10.1 Reservations: For redemption reservations, The Member should contact in written the Loyalty Department at the following address loyalty@electrahotels.com.  Allow at least 10 working days before the arrival date of the requested visit. The Electra Rewards head office requires at least 4 working days to process each request. A confirmation email will be sent about the booking from reservations department. Redemption points can be one night on a minimum of a two nights stay or multiples of that, is always on breakfast basis. 

7.10.2 Identification: The reservation confirmation must be given to the hotel reception on arrival. The guest using the Free Stay confirmation may be required at check-in to show proper identification and provide a credit card to the Participating Hotel for incidental charges and legal taxes. 

7.10.3 Cancellations: The Member must inform Electra Rewards Headquarters of any cancellations. If the free night confirmation is not officially cancelled, Points will not be credited. The standard Electra Hotels & Resorts cancellation policies will apply to Electra Rewards reservations – redemptions including, without limitation, based on all minimum length of stay requirements, credit card guarantee requirements and charges for late cancellation, no-shows and early check-out. 

7.11 Application Instructions:

• The Member must send the completed Free Stay Request to the Electra Rewards head office. 
• The Electra Rewards administrator will check that the Member has the necessary points.
• Depending on hotel availability, the Member will be informed if the requested dates are available.
• Once the redemption dates are confirmed the hotel’s reservations department will send a free night confirmation email to the member’s registered address.
• The Member should not make any reservation or holiday bookings until he/she receives the free night confirmation. 
• The Member may combine the free night confirmation with a tour operator or direct booking for additional days. 
• Vouchers cannot be used as part of an existing/confirmed booking. 

7.12 Hotel Extra Bills: The offer does not include extra charges in the hotel (extra meals, drinks, telephone etc.), reservations or airport transfers. 

7.13 Benefits & Points during Free Stay: All Electra Rewards Benefits are valid during the free stay. Accommodation Points will not be credited during a free stay. 

7.14 Not-exchangeable: Free night redemption confirmations cannot be redeemed for cash or refunds at any hotel or with any third party (including travel agent, tour operator) 

7.15 Contact: All Free redemption bookings must be made through the Electra Rewards head office.

8. Data Protection

By submitting their information on the Membership Application Form, the Members indicate their consent for Electra Hotels & Resorts to process their personal details in relation to their membership of the Electra Rewards. The Members’ details will be processed in accordance with the legal requirements according to applicable laws on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of Personal Data. The Electra Rewards full Conditions of Membership apply.
